A destiny i cherish along with my students!

Today being TEACHERS DAY evokes a number of memories from the days gone by. I had the good fortune to start my career as a teacher from the scratch. This profession which became my destiny by default changed by life and brought many lovely moments.

I still remember the day some twenty years back ago, when life took a wonderful turn introducing me to this noble profession. I was a young mother who was always interested in knowledge and kept myself  updated with everything around me.

I was always in awe of my teachers. They had moulded my personality and taught me the values in life. My dream was to get in legal profession.

There goes my dreams out of the window with a tragedy.  I had to discontinue my studies and settle down for marital bliss. But I will always be indebted to my teachers for everything.
The twist of fate intervened  when the Principal of the school where i got my daughter admitted asked me if i was interested to pursue my career in teaching! Seriously, i was zapped :D. But they say with absolute truth that Nobody can stop what is destined to happen.
My students taught me more than what I could . Their affection and innocence moved me beyond words. I am grateful to life for allowing me this happiness to move, mould and change if not many a few lives to their desired paths.
As years passed, i soared high along with my students to the horizons of seeking, learning and achieving a few accolades on the way.

I climbed the ladders one after the other and what a journey  it had been so far.

This post is dedicated to all my students who were, are and will be my inspiration in life!

A born Bohemian

Whatever i write might kick the senses just like my sol kadi :D. The same outburst of erratic thoughts without any control of time and destination.

There are so many things i want to pour on these blank pages….But how do i start? From childhood? The meandering youth? The restless growing age? Or shall i hit down the accelerator from the present and go back to the past?

Let me see…hmm..here i go knocking on my memories with a slight twist in the time machine. I was born and brought up in the bosom of the sandy beaches of Goa. A carefree soul, who spoke her own language of passionate prose. I weaved dreams on the sand. Build palaces on the palms and dived deep in the sea to rejuvenate  my soul.

I trekked the lands of the ancestors searching for treasures in the fossilized holes. There were days when time stood still and the childhood bliss continued till the old man on a wintry night reminded that a new dawn is born.

I would like to carry on and on with my whimsical ramblings…god knows how long 😀

As this is my first post, let me take a breather and think about what i want to write and how i go about it…Cherrioooooooooooooo : D
